Join Juno-nominated saxophonist Ryan Oliver and his quartet as they perform the songbook of one of the 20th century's great musical minds, Wayne Shorter. Shorter’s book of compositions presents beautiful melodies, surprising harmonic twists and some of the most soulful jazz compositions ever written.
Ryan Oliver spent two decades as a professional saxophonist in Toronto and New York City, touring the world with the legendary Shuffle Demons for over 15 years. He has appeared on dozens of recordings as a sideman and leader. Oliver has been nominated for a Juno award, the Prix De Jazz at the Montreal Jazz Festival and the Western Canadian Music Awards' Jazz Musician of the Year.
Joining Oliver’s quartet are special guests from Vancouver, Juno award-winning drummer Joe Poole, and upcoming bass player Dan Howard.
