Stella White is an 18-year-old Downbeat Award Winning vocalist currently pursuing her Bachelor's of Jazz Performance at McGill University. She’s returning to Vancouver Island for the holidays and is so excited to return to this amazing collaboration with Ashley Wey and other fantastic Victoria musicians. She draws inspiration from greats like Sarah Vaughan and Carmen McRae, as well as newer jazz vocalists like Jazzmeia Horn. In 2024 and 2025, she sang with The West Coast Soul Collective, a local funk and soul band, and has also spent time singing in pop, folk, and classical genres. She studies under Camille Thurman at McGill University and is so excited to bring something new back to her home in Victoria. Her tone, storytelling, and love for the music are palpable, and she’ll be bringing all of that and more to the stage on January 3rd.
