Breaking News! CanUS and Friends is able to expand to include that jolly, energetic drummer, Damian Graham to help in keeping the New Orleans Traditional Jazz and early Swing flame burning. Also, latest jazz musician lured to Canada from Australia by a lovely Canadian woman - Simon Stribling who has just relocated to Victoria! Simon has also toured the world on numerous occasions by himself and has played with many jazz greats. He’s on trombone & reeds and was leader of the world renowned 'FIREWORKS JAZZ BAND' (formerly Hotter than Six) and played at the Vanuatu Jazz Festival, Kobe Street Jazz Party (Japan), TerrifVic Jazz Party (1998, 1999), Chilliwack Jazz Festival (1998, 1999), Las Vegas and at the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee in California in 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998 and 1999*.

These are musicians who share your love of this era of music loved by Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet, Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington to name only a few with tunes you will recognize with a rhythm to feel, strong and true. Trumpet played by Alfons Fear boosted by the clarinet and tenor sax of Al Pease. Trio vocals that have made CanUS popular throughout the world of Dixieland Jazz Festivals. Avram McCagherty and his banjo brings a sparkle to any of the many bands he leads. No one can top bass player, Joey Smith. Add the early jazz piano style of Toni Blodgett, leader bringing the show to you wherever you are in the world!
