Dylan Stone: Solo Acoustic

Dylan Stone is an honest musician who writes, plays and sings from the heart. He is a restless songwriter who is constantly pursuing new sounds and collaborations. Raised by an old record collection, his guitar has put food on his table for his entire adult life. An interesting and storied career has led him to share the stage with one of his musical icons Alejandro Escovedo, open for Keith Urban at BC’s largest country music festival, play onstage with Robert Randolf & The Family Band, perform his songs for Lou Reed in Nashville, Tennessee, and perform at some of Canada’s largest music festivals. His acoustic band, The Unfaithful Servants, were nominated for a 2020 Canadian Folk Music Award for New/Emerging Group of the year. A modern-day troubadour, he has lived and toured across Canada and toured the West Coast extensively, and he is most at home on stage with guitar in hand.

The Arts on View Society was incorporated in December 2016 for the purpose of preserving Hermann’s Jazz Club and continuing to enhance the public’s appreciation of jazz, blues and world music through all-ages live performance. As the longest continuous running jazz club in Canada, Hermann’s has been at the forefront of providing the opportunity for local and visiting musicians to showcase their talents for the past 40 years.

The Arts on View Society operates Hermann’s Jazz Club, Hermann’s Upstairs, and the View Street Social.

The Arts on View Society has exercised an option to terminate the lease with the Estate of Hermann Nieweler for the 2nd and 3rd floor space, known as Hermann's Upstairs effective March 31, 2024. This change allows us to focus specifically on the operations of Hermann's Jazz Club and View Street Social while we explore new ways of programming the upstairs space in a financially viable manner. The Arts on View Society's vision remains - to create and sustain a performing arts center in downtown Victoria.
