CanUS | Traditional Jazz Matinee
What a Day This Will Be. The followers of the more traditional jazz such as Django Reinhart or Sidney Bechet, Louis Armstrong, etc. will be sure to want to be at the CanUS November 3rd show at Hermann’s Jazz Club, Sitting in for Joey Smith on bass is Scott White who’s talent is such that he was Music Director at one time for Cirque du Soleil in Germany and locally, is Music Director of Pagliacci’s in Victoria.
Due to our drummer, Lauri being needed by Vancouver Opera, we have the delightful Matt Pease to take her place. The musicality of two Pease family men being in the band will lift us all to higher ground. In addition to Al Pease on reeds, Simon Stribling, trumpet, with Doug Rhodes, alto sax, and another busy local favourite Avram McCagherty on banjo. Toni Blodgett is on piano….We love having you join us in having fun making this music together!
