One of the joys of playing in a jazz band is the
musicians are creating music on the spot with
occasional extra fun when one or two band
members are away so in come replacements for a
new experience for the band AND the audience.
Coming to replace Lauri on drums May 5th is
Victoria’s well-known Damian Graham and on
bass will be former Band Leader/Music Director
at Cirque du Soleil Germany, Scott White, now
Victoria’s treasure. They will join Victoria’s top
tier traditional jazz players: Simon Stribling,
trumpet, Doug Rhodes, alto sax, Al Pease, clarinet
& tenor sax, Avram McCagherty banjo along with
Toni Blodgett on piano.
Keeping the New Orleans Traditional Jazz and
early Swing flame burning…..while keeping your
feet tapping and your soul replenished. These
are musicians who share your love of this era of
music loved by Louis Armstrong, Sidney Bechet,
Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington to name only a
few with tunes you will recognize with a rhythm
to feel, strong and true. Come, join the fun!
