Evan Crofton Trio
Tue. December 14th 2021 7:00 - 9:00 doors at 5:30 (All Ages) 29-year old Evan Crofton, better known by his stage name Alistair Blu, is a versatile producer, vocalist, and keyboardist based in Montréal, Canada. Born on the west coast of Canada, Crofton - a trained jazz pianist - was heavily influenced by a dynamic range of genres, from classic soul and jazz, to West Coast hip hop, funk and late-60’s psychedelic rock. Best known as the co-lead vocalist and keyboardist for the Canadian funk-soul group Busty and the Bass, he has written tracks alongside heavy hitting acts like George Clinton (Parliament-Funkadelic), R&B titan Macy Gray, Illa J, and Amber Navran of the LA-based neo-soul trio Moonchild.
Crofton returns to Hermann’s with local talents Damian Graham (drums) and Ryan Tandy (bass) for a night of music dedicated exclusively to the catalogues of jazz pioneers Duke Ellington and Thelonious Monk.
