Born in Toronto of Italian and English heritage, Laura Deviato started singing before she could talk! She began her musical studies at a young age and has continued her exploration, performing and touring in styles ranging from Jazz to Folk to Funk to Latin. Her passion for songwriting flourished while living and traveling through Latin America and Europe with her musical and life partner Olimpo Ortega; enriching her worldly musical perspective and inspiring her love of rhythm and playful improvisation. She flows seamlessly through genres in English, Spanish and Italian, while creating an authentic sound of her own.
