Livestream + In Person $25 plus fees/tax, walk-ins welcome
For over 25 years, Victoria's Canadian Beauty has been paying tribute to seminal artists and songwriters The Grateful Dead, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, The Band and The Allman Brothers Band. For the first time, they're celebrating the songs of Gram Parsons, under the name 'Gilded Palace.' They'll play songs from his early beginnings in The International Submarine Band and The Byrds, through the Flying Burrito Brothers and his solo records that featured a young Emmylou Harris.

Gram Parsons died in Joshua Tree, California, at the age of 26. By that time he had made his mark as not only a songwriter and singer, but a musical innovator. The blend of country, folk, early rock and roll, and rhythm and blues he dubbed "Cosmic American Music" was highly influential. Echoes can be heard in so much music since, from Elvis Costello to Wilco, Lucinda Williams to Norah Jones, Steve Earle to The Rolling Stones, plus Gillian Welch, Marty Stuart, Chris Stapleton and so many more.

Members of Canadian Beauty/Gilded Palace have performed with: Jon and Roy, Jesse Roper, Pharis and Jason Romero, The Clay Pigeons, Paul Pigat, David P. Smith, The Best Guys In Town, and many more.
