“No band mines the excitement of early rock 'n' roll and vintage R & B with more energy, sincerity and fun" - Holger Petersen, CBC Radio

Singer/drummer/bandleader Lindsay Beaver is a force that knows no bounds. With her limitless voice and ferocious standing-drumming, Lindsay and her killer band The 24th St Wailers have become known across festivals, theaters, and clubs from the Arctic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico.

Giving unforgettable performances full of electric energy and amazing finesse, this group draws upon a deep well of influences that range from Little Richard to The Ramones, and from Howlin’ Wolf to Iggy Pop. Their impressive list of accolades and awards include a 2015 Juno Award nomination and a whopping 15 Maple Blues Award Nominations.

Originally from Halifax, Lindsay Beaver is now based in Austin, Texas, where the band has been working with blues legend Jimmie Vaughan on their forthcoming album.

Returning to Victoria for an intimate performance at Hermann’s Jazz Club, this latest incarnation of The 24th St Wailers features Texas-based musicians Brad Stivers guitar/vocals, Reo Casey guitar, and Josh Williams bass.
