Bio:
Busy Vancouver-based bass player Jen Hodge is a versatile musician who can be found playing with a wide variety of other artists all over the world. When Jen is leading the band, she likes it hot - hard swinging grooves, boisterous New Orleans style horns, cheeky lyrics, clever arrangements, and plenty of spontaneous fun. With influences ranging from the Oscar Peterson Trio to The Beatles, Jelly Roll Morton to Charlie Parker, Brahms to Édith Piaf, Jen strives to bring together musicians she admires to create a fun and artistically viable experience for everyone involved. Jen's profound love for making music comes across most infectiously, giving her performances a broad appeal to folks of all ages and making her equally at home at a jazz club, a concert hall, a theatre, or a music festival in the woods.
